Quill Gordon (Epeorus pleuralis)

The Quill Gordon was made famous by its namesake, Theodore Gordon early in the history of American Fly Fishing. The Epeorus pleuralis is an early season mayfly, this bug is common to most Eastern streams, and is a particularly strong hatch on the Delaware system, including the Beaverkill River, which Gordon helped make famous.
